I WONDER.

Without expression my mind does not feel entirely free. And to be free is all I ask.

Is it me? I wonder…

The idiot BOX.

“They monopolizing news. Your views. And the channel you choose. Propaganda- visual cancer.”

“Remote control. Soul. Controller. Your brain holder. Slave culture.”

“Stop sleeping. Start thinking. Outside of the box and unplug from The Matrix doctrine.”

“I pledge allegiance to the fair and balanced truth. Not the biased truth. Not the liar’s truth. But the highest truth. I will not be deceived nor will I believe. In the Propaganda. I will not fall for the Okey-Doke. I am tuned-in.”

“Me-me MEDIA. Misleading ya.”

Simplicity.

What I have come to realize in this life, is how much the smallest details count. I know this sounds cliche, but the majority of us haven’t discovered how important this matter is. Many people confuse relationships and start to look at their spouse as almost a task or a chore that must be worked for in order to keep them happy. In fact, many people remain single so that they only have to look out for themselves when they’re really missing out on an experience, called life. Relationships offer a chance to grow with another being while staying true to one’s self. A challenging but beautiful opportunity. Unfortunately, the media depicts relationships in such a superficial way that people assume money and expensive things are the only way to put a smile on your significant other’s face. In reality, things will always be exactly what they’re called.. THINGS. What the heart will always long for is that small detail that shows your partner you care and that you listen to what they said months ago, maybe even a year ago. People want to be heard. This is fundamental to human happiness (look how popular Twitter has become for proof). Thus, show your partner that you are indeed hearing everything they say. Make them their favorite meal without them telling you what their favorite meal is, write a creative poem or love letter for no reason, make a cup of coffee early in the morning when they have to get up and you should be sleeping in, etc. Being observant and selfless are key. Use your brain without being told to do so.

Remember: Thoughtfulness will always conquer materialistic desires.
